There are lots of ways to sharpen a knive, so why choose Great Edge? Quite simply, because you’ll be putting your knife in the hands of someone that never settles for ‘good enough’. When we first unbox your knife to begin the sharpening process your blade will be inspected under a magnifying camera (you’re welcome to request an image of your blade). We use a laser device to check the existing angle, have special software to be able to sharpen down to a tenth of a degree (!) and various sharpening and honing materials to get you the best possible finish. We also quantify the sharpness of the blade using a BESS test before returning the knife to you, so when we say ‘sharp’ we mean it in an absolute sense.
